----------- Vielä aikaa hakea takaisin Suomen kansalaisuutta. Mahdollisuus päättyy 31.05.2008 Kansalaisuusilmoituksella on mahdollista hakea takaisin Suomen kansalaisuutta 31.05.2008 mennessä. Tämä koskee entisiä Suomen kansalaisia ja heidän jälkeläisiään. Ilmoitukset on oltava konsulaatissa Sydneyssä tai suurlähetystössä Canberrassa viimeistään 31.05.2008. Huomioitavaa on, että ilmoitus on tosiasiallisesti oltava käsittelyssä mainituissa edustustoissa viimeistään 31.05.2008. Tämä tarkoittaa, että mikäli ilmoitus lähetetään postitse, ei riitä, että postileima on 31.05.2008. Mikäli ilmoitus saapuu 01.06.2008 tai sen jälkeen, sitä ei käsitellä, vaan se palautetaan hakijalle. Kesäkuusta alkaen Suomen kansalaisuutta voi hakea vain Suomesta, vaatimuksena on muun muassa, että hakija asuu Suomessa. Pekka is seen increasingly directing ensembles from the violin, including the London, Scottish and Irish Chamber Orchestras and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Appearing regularly with many of the world's greatest orchestras, Pekka's diverse repertoire includes new works such as Distant Lightby Peteris Vasks and Thomas Adès's Violin Concerto. Auckland Finnish Society Inc. had AGM 21st of April and members for the 2007 committee were selected as follows, President - Jouni Torvelainen, Secretary - Susanna Palomäki, Vice President - Jari Jääskeläinen, Treasurer - Telle Van Oorde. Committee members are for the 2007: Liisa Mc Lellan, Martti Koski, Minna Vuorinen, Irmeli Cowlrick, Elina Väisänen and Sirpa Ottaway. 
Jouni Torvelainen handed Pesis NZ -cap to Gavin Gosney. President Halonen to visit Australia and New Zealand Office of the President of the Republic of Finland Press Release 23 January 2007 President of the Republic of Finland Tarja Halonen and Dr Pentti Arajärvi are to make state visits to Australia on February 13-17 and New Zealand on February 18-21, 2007. In New Zealand President Halonen will visit Auckland and Wellington. She will have talks with Prime Minister Helen Clark and meet Governor General Anand Satyanand and other national leaders. Accompanying President Halonen will be a delegation of Finnish innovation experts led by Professor Raimo Väyrynen, President of the Academy of Finland.
